CHIJ St. Theresa's Convent Student Council creates magic and meaning for Christmas blood donations.

To give the student councillors a platform to develop skills in event planning and embrace social responsibility, the Secondary Two and Three students are encouraged to organise themed blood drives in December every year. The events are fully youth-run, and is a progression from their involvement in other blood donation drive and the International Bazaar since 2014. Their contribution helps to ensure blood-stock levels remain healthy at a time when many donors may not be available.

DataKind lent skills and expertise in data analytics to help improve efficiency of bloodmobile operations.

To improve the efficiency of community blood drives with better projections for blood collection at each site, the Blood Donor Recruitment Programme (BDRP) is keen to identify key factors influencing blood collection by tapping on the large amount of data accumulated since 2001. DataKind transformed the raw data into valuable insights and created a possible predictive model for accurate projections. This allowed for maximisation of resources allocated across all bloodbanks and blood drives, which enhances the donation experience for the blood donors.

LoveSingapore unites all who love Singapore to give blood during the Good Friday and Easter period.

In view of the ageing population, global terrorism, and threat of new and existing diseases, LoveSingapore, a network of churches, is moved to improve the size of blood donor population by mobilising the Christian community in Singapore. With this motivation, LoveSingapore started Drops of Life in 2016, and the blood donation drive is held over the Good Friday and Easter period annually. Churches in the LoveSingapore network continue to support the National Blood Programme by organising regular blood drives and influencing family, friends, neighbours and colleagues in their circle to donate blood.
