I joined the Red Cross Movement as a Red Cross Youth Cadet member in Raffles Institution. With the strong belief in the work of the Red Cross Movement, I volunteered as a Red Cross Youth Volunteer Instructor to develop and deliver programmes that help youths realise their fullest potential. One of them was my involvement in Unit Leaders Programme in various appointments such as assistant chief mentor and assistant chief trainer. In addition, competitions such as the RCY First Aid Competition 2010 & 2011 were also projects that I had managed to provide the youths avenue to develop themselves as confident team players.

Throughout my 10 years of volunteering with the Singapore Red Cross, not only had I served the uniformed side, I pioneered the Raffles Institution (JC) Red Cross Chapters in 2006 and represented Singapore Red Cross in regional youth summits, one of it being the Asia Pacific Youth Summit 2010 in Ajloun, Jordan.

As a Youth representative in the Council for the past 4 years, I hope to continue to be the passionate voice of the Singapore Red Cross Youth in advocating for the youth to serve humanity and further the work of the Movement.
