I was inspired to join RCY when I was 13, a Secondary One student in Tanjong Katong Girls’ School in 1966, because my aunt was in RCY in the 1960s.

I always had a passion for RCY. I helped in the organisation of events for cadets and links. I also guided them on budgeting and prudence when I was a treasurer in RCY. The camaraderie spirit of the volunteers was great and I made many good friends in the Red Cross!

My daughter, now a doctor, was also a member of RCY. Both my daughter and I were formerly the Chairmen RCY – TKGS from 2000 to 2001 and 1970 to 1971 respectively.
